Titanic is to James Cameron what "Schindler's List" was to Spielberg

2   Good Will Hunting
excellent script by Affleck and Damon; Robin Williams does an excellent job in a supporting role

3   Chasing Amy
a funny love story where the boy doesn't get the girl and live happily ever after

4   Donnie Brasco
one of Depp's better performances; the Mafioso in this movie are much more realistic than the ones in the Godfather

5   Breakdown
like a good Hitchcock thriller; a suspenseful action film

6   Wag the Dog
shades of Clinton; the only thing missing is Monica Lewinsky

7   LA Confidential
where's Jake Gittes? Doesn't quite live up to "Chinatown" but it's still a good movie. Yet, how did Kim Basinger win the Best Supporting Actress award over Gloria Scott when she didn't do a great job of acting?

8   As Good As It Gets
a good movie; Jack Nicholson does a great job playing a misanthropic obsessive-compulsive but the ending is predictable.

9   Absolute Power
another movie that reminds you of Clinton

10  In and Out
funny comedy that handles the issue of homosexuals coming out of the closet

1997 Turkeys

1) Starship Troopers
the best acting was done by the bugs

2) Conspiracy Theory
the movie started off great but then died about halfway through the movie

3) Metro
Beverly Hills Cop does 48 Hours. Eddie Murphy should realize that he can't bring back the magic by redoing these movies.

4) Amistad
some parts of the movie were shocking and much effort was put into making the movie as uplifting as Spielberg's "Schindler's List" but the last 30 minutes should have been cut. Not a bad movie but it was disappointing because I expected better.
